Our appraisal staff has temporarily adjusted procedures to conduct property inspections from the view of the street or sidewalk, and staff will not attempt to contact property owners at their door. All appraisal staff can be identified by a clearly-marked blue safety vest, mobile tablet, and clearly-marked white Lancaster County vehicle.

THE COUNTY ASSESSOR/REGISTER OF DEEDS OFFICE HAS SUSPENDED “WALK-IN” CUSTOMER SERVICE INDEFINITELY.

Our office will still maintain regular office hours (7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday), and will remain available to the public via telephone, email, and website.

2020 Preliminary Values

  • Informal hearings have now concluded for 2020.  The Assessor's Office will finalize any valuation changes and post all values on the website on or before March 25.
  • As always, formal valuation notices will be mailed by June 1st to any owner whose valuation changed from 2019 to 2020. Formal valuation protests may be filed with the County Clerk’s Office between June 1 and June 30.

Welcome to the new Lancaster County Assessor/Register of Deeds Public Access web page.  This site will allow the ability to search for properties within Lancaster County by entering any combination of name, address, or property identifier such as Property ID into the Property Search bar above.

As you type, suggestions will display possible matches based on the criteria entered to assist with desired search results. The more information entered, the more accurate the suggestion displayed. Different variations of search criteria may be needed for desired results (e.g. S may be used for numbered street directions: S 54th ST; while South may be used for street names: South Haven).
